This programme combines the best of both practices to strengthen, lengthen and sculpt your body, while leaving you feeling mentally grounded and calm.
Let Lou guide you through targeted weight-based Pilates classes to build deep full-body strength and stability. The precise, controlled Pilates exercises will work deep into your intrinsic muscles to define and sculpt your body.
In contrast, Milly will guide you through grounding Yoga flows to down-regulate your nervous system, release tension from your mind & body and improve your flexibility. The slow-paced, flowing sequences will incorporate breathwork and meditations to connect your mind-body-soul and create a deep sense of calm and inner peace.
Within 10 days, you’ll be feeling physically and mentally stronger inside and out, helping you bravely show up and take on whatever life throws at you off the mat.
HOW WILL IT WORK
The programme includes 10 Pilates workouts and 10 yoga classes, specifically chosen to complement each other and help you achieve a 360 body-mind transformation.
Each day, there are two sessions (ranging from 15-30 mins) - one yoga and one Pilates - but this doesn’t mean you have to do both every day. How you combine them is totally up to you, your goals and what you, your body and your mind needs each day.
Want to build strength? Do more Pilates i.e. 4 Pilates workouts and 2 yoga sessions each week.
Want to focus on flexibility? Do more Yoga i.e. 4 yoga sessions and 2 Pilates workouts each week.
Having a stressful day? Make time for a yoga session.
Need to reboot your focus? Make time for a Pilates workout.
Of course, you’re welcome to also combine both workouts each day. This could be split into morning Pilates (to energise you) and evening yoga (to help you unwind); or one workout session that starts with Pilates and then ends with yoga.
Before the challenge starts, think about your goals and plan or write down your workout schedule for the week ahead. However, always listen to your mind/body, tap into what it needs and be flexible to changing your workout.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
For the Pilates you’ll need:
A mat, a small ball (or a cushion!), weights (or cans!), wrist/ankle weights, magic circle and resistance bands.
For the yoga, you’ll need:
A mat, a strap (this can just be a yoga strap or just a belt or scarf)!
