Banana, Cacao, Almond & Hemp Smoothie

Unlike many other sweet breakfast options, this smoothie seriously hits the spot without causing chaos with blood sugar levels. It makes a perfect choice either first thing, after a workout or as an afternoon snack. The frozen banana adds a natural sweetness and chilled creamy base whilst the cacao, almond butter, hemp seeds and maca powder bring a variety of nutrients and health benefits, including high in fibre to keep you full all morning. This can either be enjoyed from a glass or take away container, or as a smoothie bowl topped with some chopped nuts, seeds and coconut flakes.

Banana, Cacao, Almond & Hemp Smoothie Servings: 2 Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

2 frozen bananas
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
1-2 tbsp almond butter (any nut butter will work)
250ml unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tbsp maca powder (optional)
3 ice cubes

Method

1. Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

2. Pour into a glass or bowl and sprinkle with any toppings if desired. Enjoy!
