Bloat-busting Smoothie

When it comes to supporting gut health, in particular bloating and constipation, there are some superstar fruits to focus on. Papaya and pineapple are two of them. They both contain enzymes, papain and bromelain, respectively, that help in the breakdown of dietary protein that can help to alleviate those feelings of discomfort after we eat (even if the food we are eating is healthy!). So when you’re away on holiday or just at home, keep a lookout for these in local markets and shops, and use them in this smoothie recipe or as part of a yoghurt bowl.
