Tropical Probiotic Breakfast Smoothie

Incorporating kefir yoghurt or milk into a smoothie alongside gut-loving fruits, vegetables, nut and seeds is an excellent way of nurturing the microbiome, lowering inflammation and boosting overall health and wellbeing. Some yoghurts have been heat-treated which kills the live active bacterial cultures, so, unless you’re using homemade kefir, be sure to look at the ingredients on the packaging for live and active cultures (ideally containing at least 100 million cultures per gram at time of processing).
